Unfortunately, we were forced to discontinue the sale of Harder & Steenbeck compressors, as the warranty is only valid if the compressor is transported on a pallet, in order to prevent it from being tipped onto its side. Otherwise, there is a risk of damaging the compressor head, which is suspended on springs, as well as the risk of oil leakage if the compressor is oil-lubricated. For transport on a pallet from the manufacturer to us and then from us to you, we would have to add an additional 200 GBP to the product price, which would obviously make the compressor considerably more expensive. Furthermore, if a problem occurred during the warranty period, the compressor would again have to be transported on a pallet, resulting in additional high shipping costs. Moreover, a private customer would not normally have a pallet available to store at home. For all these reasons, we decided to discontinue the sale of these compressors altogether.
